Copyright & Sourcing
LoreGlide is BYOC (Bring Your Own Content). This page explains how we link sources, handle public-domain works, and reference copyrighted works without distributing text.
Last updated: 2026-01-05
LoreGlide does not host, upload, or share copyrighted texts. When our guides include copyrighted titles, we only provide:
- title + author
- a short description / teaching focus
- legal ways to obtain the text (library, anthology, publisher, etc.)
Public domain sources
When we list a public-domain work, we link to reputable public sources whenever possible (examples: Project Gutenberg, Wikisource, university library mirrors).
- We prefer stable URLs and well-maintained archives.
- We avoid low-quality scraper sites when better sources exist.
- If a link breaks, we replace it with an equivalent public source when available.
Copyrighted works
If a story is copyrighted, we do not provide a “free full text” link. Instead we suggest legal acquisition paths, such as:
- your school anthology
- local library / school library databases
- the publisher’s official storefront
- authorized e-book / audiobook platforms
Learners can then import the text into LoreGlide privately (BYOC) to read at their level.
Not legal advice
We’re not a law firm. This policy is a practical explanation of how LoreGlide operates. If you’re unsure whether a text is legal to use in your context, consult your school guidelines or legal counsel.
Copyright contact
If you believe a LoreGlide page links to an infringing source or mislabels a work, email us with the URL and details. We review and update quickly.
